- Supporting the sales process and assisting with the technical information flow and part numbers

- Matric (Grade 12)
- Technical / Trade qualification and a minimum of 10 years of experience in crushing or
- National Diploma N6 with a mechanical trade and 10 years field experience in crushers or
- National Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and a minimum of 10 year’s field experience in crushers
- Must have experience of applications in minerals processing
- Must have an up to date understanding & knowledge as a technical product specialist
- Understanding and experience of sales and financials
- Familiarity with a broad range of Metso Equipment
- Familiar with the core processes of the Metso customer base
- Experience in complex relationships
- Position requires support management expertise, good customer relation skills, ability to work within a team environment, mechanical aptitude, creativity, innovation, and ability to see the larger picture
- High sense of urgency and passion for service and support
- Supervision skills
- Strong relationship building skills, a bias for action and detail-oriented behaviours
- A high level of computer skills is essential – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access
- Highly motivated individual with the ability to work under stress and meet the deadlines
- Ability to work in a team atmosphere
- Client skills including building and managing relationships, negotiation skills and understanding of customer needs and market requirements
- Must be capable of effectively and accurately working on several projects at one time, and organizing, prioritizing tasks, and working in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication, co-operation, interpersonal and presentation skills to manage internal and external interfaces
- Ability to travel regularly

We are seeking a Technical Sales Support – Crushers individual, to join our Technical Sales Support Team.
Product Support, for crushers forms part of the Sales Support SVS – Africa team, in support of the Sales Areas for the Africa Market Area (AMA), resulting in the provision of technical solutions to support a sale.
Crushing is one of the products under the SVS, crusher spares, mining crusher spares, growth products and classic crusher spares portfolio, which requires technical competence as well as sales orientated drive to assist in pushing the sale through. This role is a pivotal in terms of aligning the Global Product Line specialists with the Market Area (MA) sales teams.
Essentially, the Product Support role works with the Sales Area to effectively deliver a jointly owned “Sales Plan”, with focus on specifically “targeted customer’s”, in order to deliver a “technical solution” that meets the customer’s needs, thus supporting the sales team to realise an order.
In this position, you will report to the Head of CSP Technical Sales Support: Services – Africa.
This position is mainly located in Centurion, Gauteng.
TEAM YOU WILL BELONG TO
You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders, such as Management, Other Engineers, Suppliers & Sub-Contractors, Clients and Site Staff.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
o Collaborating with the PL / MA to accurately identify and update central IB database.
o Growing and influencing the installed base to identify opportunity for revenue
o Product Planning is the ongoing process of identifying and articulating market requirements that define a product’s feature set. Product planning serves the basis for decisions about price, distribution and promotion
o Collaborating with the PL on sales strategy, technical solutions and reporting
o Understanding and collaborating with the MA in terms of setting the RSP for customers
o Understanding and interpreting customer behaviour into a needs’ analysis in terms of the technical requirements. Inventory status and inventory per site to support site equipment
o Accurate scoping of opportunity and validating of the RFQ
o Assisting with developing and influencing and negotiations
o Advising the MA of potential opportunities
o Evaluate and report on Plan vs. Actual and Forecast per PL in MA territory
o Interrogating and sanitizing opportunities in Salesforce
o Assisting to progress opportunities through sales stages
o Understanding, planning and meeting the training requirements for internal and external customers (PL training material)
