Identify potential and priority candidates through the internal resume database, candidate referrals, networking, and web sourcing.
Work closely with internal TA team to develop and execute tactical sourcing strategies to create appropriate candidate flow and pipeline to meet overall recruiting goals.
Partner with recruiting team and client groups to assess hiring needs and goals.
Maintain reporting metrics and generate reports on regular basis.
The Technical Sourcer will also have the opportunity to work as a Technical Recruiter during times of requisition overflow. We are looking for a flexible individual who is willing to work as a Technical Recruiter when needed.
Technical recruiting experience and intellectual curiosity required.
Experience with diversity outreach, building and maintaining partnerships with diversity focused career fair organizers and consistently demonstrates an understanding for consistent diversity candidate outreach.
Ambiguity Tolerance – a level of comfort and confidence to begin search execution with limited data, and build the foundation of information through research and intellectual curiosity, creatively using subject matter experts and knowledge partners to ensure successful strategy and execution.

Ability to maintain strong relationships with all clients including internal/external recruiters, business partners and candidates.
The Technical Sourcer will be responsible for developing a target list of companies and prospects, in conjunction with the recruiter and hiring manager.
Experienced in creating and maintaining a continual/active flow of prospects and candidates by utilizing advanced internet searching skills, cold calling, networking, database mining, referrals, and other advanced recruitment techniques for current and future open positions.
Responsible for proactively sourcing talented and diverse prospects through innovative sourcing techniques; identifying top talent to fill critical positions by utilizing online database searches, internal databases, networking, referrals, research, and cold calling.
Find, engage and activate passive candidates through the use of Boolean search strings, LinkedIn. Social media and alternative search techniques.
Experience establishing & maintaining relationships with individuals at all levels of the organization & in the business community. Strategize different ways to build talent pipelines and conduct talent mapping.
Experience with research/sourcing and diving into search strategies is a huge plus.
Ability to contribute in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment with ability to prioritize multiple functions and tasks
Experienced in working both independently and collaboratively as a team member.
Comfortable working at home as well as in an office setting. Ability to stay focused and accomplish objectives when working from home.

Job Description
We are considering remote candidates. Local candidates preferred. For candidates who are located in Colorado, we have hybrid work options available.
The National Renewable Energy Laboratory is seeking a multi focused individual to contribute as a Technical Sourcer and Conference Coordinator to proactively identify and assess talent for NREL as well as assist with coordination of career fairs and conferences. This full-time, direct hire role which will uncover and attract top talent and help drive growth across our business.

In the role of Sourcer, you will partner closely with Talent Acquisition Recruiters and various Directorates and Centers to develop a deep understanding of how positions impact the business. You will source talent for a variety of roles across the laboratory, generating interest and building pipeline for current and future talent needs. The Technical Sourcer is a critical role with responsibility to lead the sourcing function across the organization and execute on long-term talent strategy.
In the role of conference coordinator, you will partner with the the dedicated Technical Sourcer to organize attendance at various career fairs (both virtual and onsite), recruiting events and conferences throughout the year. This role will also be responsible for reaching out to staff for participation and sending out follow up and confirmation emails; sending out confirmations to event organizers, maintaining the event tracking worksheet, creating and posting social media posts on LinkedIn prior to and after events, partnering with the event team at NREL to reserve and ensure shipment of displays and pop up banners, etc.
The successful candidate will support our Talent Acquisition team with the objective of increasing the candidate pipeline by sourcing candidates, assessing qualifications, and positioning them appropriately for job opportunities within the laboratory. Sourcing of candidates is an opportunity to make a significant contribution to the overall success of the lab and an exciting opportunity to help NREL scale the business and find exceptional talent.

Relevant Bachelor's Degree and 2 or more years of experience or equivalent relevant education/experience. Or, relevant Master's Degree or equivalent relevant education/experience. General knowledge of laws, regulations, principles, procedures and practices related to specific field. Skilled in problem solving, written and verbal communication. Annual Salary Range (based on full-time 40 hours per week)
Job Profile: Professional II / Annual Salary Range: $73,200 - $120,800NREL takes into consideration a candidate’s education, training, and experience, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value, including seniority and merit systems, and internal pay alignment when determining the salary level for potential new employees.
