Job Description

- Troubleshoot complicated hardware and software issues and replicate customer environments and network problems
- Provide technical expertise and guidance during testing, deployment, and operational phases of networks
- Manage critical customer issues and facilitate communication between customers, escalation, and engineering
- Act as a customer advocate for timely resolution of issues and for problem reproduction and escalation
- Document and reproduce customer-related networking problems and, if necessary, coordinate fixes by Engineering department
- Participate in cross-functional tasks, such as new product development projects, supporting readiness teams, contributing to knowledge base (KB) tech documents and other development activities
- Participate in case reviews, identify improvement areas and provide feedback to the team
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-starter, adaptable to changing dynamics, not afraid to take initiative
- Routing and Switching technologies (STP, VRRP, ARP, DHCP, CoS, TCP, UDP, BGP, OSPF, RIP …)
- Familiarity with automation and scripting languages such as Python a plus
- Technical support experience a plus
- 3 years of work experience needed
- JNCIE/CCIE preferred
- Experience with Cloud technologies/certifications a plus
Overview :
The Wired Assurance JTAC team is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to work in a lead capacity. The WA JTAC team is at the intersection point of artificial intelligence, Mist UI and switching technologies. The TSE is expected to get involved in all of these areas, as well as other areas Juniper’s Wired WAN solution might expand to in the future. We expect this to be a very dynamic environment, and expect the TSE to be involved with solving issues, as well as build new frontiers for the team. This position is expected to be performed in Juniper’s Sunnyvale and Cupertino offices, with presence in both offices on a weekly basis.

Minimum Salary: $108,750.00
Maximum Salary:$166,750.00
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $108,750.00 and $166,750.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
Juniper’s pay range data is provided in accordance with local state pay transparency regulations. Juniper may post different minimum wage ranges for permanent residency petitions pursuant to US Department of Labor requirements.
