- Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and installation issues on product systems through phone, email, and on-site support.
- Troubleshoot motor controls, wiring connections, structural alignment, and system operation concerns.
- Respond to all dealer service calls within 2 business hours; coordinate field visits or technical follow-ups as needed.
- Document service issues, technical solutions, and field feedback in the service management system within 48 hours.
- Maintain a fully stocked technical service van with tools, test equipment, and product parts for on-site troubleshooting.
- Lead or assist in dealer training sessions on product installation techniques, system calibration, and operational best practices.
- Participate in product field testing, providing detailed feedback on mechanical and electrical system performance.
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in mechanical systems troubleshooting, construction, or field service roles
- Hands-on experience with motor controls, low-voltage wiring, and system installations preferred
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Capable of working independently, with occasional travel for on-site service support
- Must be able and willing to travel 20-30%, including air travel across regional and national locations.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have the ability to rent and operate a car for travel and field support assignments.
This is a field service and mechanical troubleshooting role, not IT support. As a Field Technical Support Specialist (Mechanical/Construction), you will be the front-line resource for troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving product installation and operational issues in the field. This role focuses on mechanical systems, motor controls, electrical connections, and product installations — supporting our dealer network and end users in achieving safe, efficient, and high-quality outcomes. You’ll provide both remote and on-site technical assistance, ensuring equipment and systems perform to spec.

Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific work location, role, skill set and level of experience. The annual salary for this role is $55,000 to $65,000. In addition to base salary, we offer generous bonus opportunities that significantly increase earning potential.
