      Technical Support Writer

      Remote / Full-time

      Your responsibilities

      To create, maintain, and distribute comprehensive technical documentation and training materials that effectively communicate complex information to end users. Utilizing expertise in document publication, technical illustration and collaboration with cross functional teams, this role ensures that all materials adhere to company standards and procedures. Possess strong technical writing and technical illustration skills, exceptional attention to detail, and the ability to deliver content that supports the operational efficiency of BSH Home Appliances.

      · Input and update content for service manuals in Schema (XML based) publishing software, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

      · Utilize Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and 3D illustration tools, to create and edit visuals for technical documentation.

      · Write, review and distribute service bulletins to effectively communicate crucial technical information for internal and external service partners.

      · Prepare service training materials for the technical center training department

      · Ensure all documentation complies with company guidelines and industry standards; maintain up to date knowledge of documentation best practices.

      · Input and update departmental documentation regarding processes and workflows.

      · Partner closely with Project Specialist, and other internal departments, to gather technical information and insights for service documentation.

      · Travel as required to corporate office, other BSH facilities or factories for meetings, and other company related events.

      · Performs all other duties as assigned.

      Your profile

      · Bachelor’s degree (Technical Writing or Communication) – Preferred

      · Associate degree (Technical Writing) – Required

      · Certification (Technical Writing) – Preferred

      · 3-5 Years of Experience (Technical writing) – Required

      · 3-5 Years of Experience (Technical illustration) – Required

      · High-level technical writing skills

      · An ability to work under minimal supervision while maintaining performance

      · Proficient in document publication software (Schema, XML based publishing)

      · Proficient in technical illustration software (Adobe Photoshop, 3D modeling systems, etc.)

      · Proficient in Microsoft Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, SharePoint)

      · Excellent verbal and written communication skills

      · Organizational and analytical skills

      · Strong attention to detail for proofreading and editing

      · Ability to focus on a specific topic for long periods of time

      · SAP experience preferred

      · BSH product knowledge or repair experience is preferred

      · Travel Percentage – 30%

      Your Pay & Benefits

      The pay range posted for this position is based on the location noted in the posting title. Exact compensation offered may vary based on your specific skillset and work location. If the position is bonus or incentive eligible then the payments range from 0% to 200% of target with details laid out within the plan document.

      Benefits offered include the following:

The plan provides a fully vested 100% employer match on the first 4% of compensation contributed and also includes an annual employer-funded profit sharing contribution dependent on company profitability.

      · Two weeks of paid vacation for all non-temporary status new hires below Director level positions. Vacation entitlement increases based on years of service with BSH.

      · Unlimited paid vacation for all Director and above level positions.

      · The greater of (a) 40 hours of paid sick leave or (b) state or local minimum requirements for paid leave (Non-Production Line).

      · 40 hours of paid personal leave (Production Line).

      · 12 days of paid holidays per year (max 8 hours paid per day).

      · Adoption Reimbursement Program, Perks at Work, and BSH Employee Purchase Program.

      · BSH provides ongoing product training, uniforms, computer tablet, cell phone and a company vehicle for eligible positions.
