- - Two (2) Vacancies at Etobicoke Civic Centre, 399 The West Mall, Etobicoke
- Assists in site inspections and surveys. Takes photos. Delivers notices. Records data.
- Assists with marking and measuring.
- Assists with collecting, organizing and presenting of information/field notes/sketches/reports from field investigations and site visits.
- Enters data on various systems.
- Assists with maintaining equipment.
- Assists in performing technical tests.
- Assists with collecting samples for others to analyze.
- Assists with indexing, searching, retrieving and filing of records.
- Answers inquiries, provides general information, takes messages and directs inquiries to appropriate staff to answer questions/handle requests.
- Travels to various locations.
- Currently enrolled in or a recent graduate of any post-secondary program and/or any equivalent combination of education and experience in a related field.
- Experience with computer applications skills including Microsoft Office Suite, (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Experience in providing customer service to a broad range of stakeholders.
- Must possess and be able to maintain a valid Province of Ontario Class “G” Driver’s License and the ability to obtain a City driver's permit.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to interact with staff and clients in an efficient and diplomatic manner, both in-person, over the phone and via email.
- Excellent organizational and problem solving skills and ability to de-escalate stressful situations in an efficient manner.
- Ability to work effectively as a member of a team.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
- Ability to work under time constraints and meet deadlines.
- Ability to provide excellent customer service when dealing with the pubic.
- Ability to work flexible hours including overtime as required.
- Ability to work in an outdoor environment which can include extreme weather conditions.
- Ability to travel to other City work locations as required.
