  It is the responsibility of the Technician Audio Visual to support all audio, video, lighting, stage crew, Crestron, and other technical equipment for the Special Events and Entertainment Departments.

  Core Job Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of audio and video equipment.
  • Experience with lighting and audio techniques, and excellent troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to set up and operate video, audio, and lighting equipment used to enhance live events.
  • Organize and install media equipment such as projectors, microphones, video monitors, and soundboards.
  • Ability to stage and alter the venue layout to enhance acoustics.
  • Create superb audio and visual effects to enhance any live experience.
  • Assemble microphones, mix soundboards, coordinate graphics, operate spotlights, manage video recordings, and provide technical support for special events and entertainment across the property.
  • Ability to take direction and work without direct supervision.
  • Enthusiastically represent Palms’ Entertainment Department, displaying a positive attitude, maintaining a high level of energy and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job and other duties as assigned.

  Qualifications

  • At least two (2) years’ experience operating audio, video, QLAB, lighting equipment, DJ equipment set-up and operation required.
  • Operational knowledge of Crestron controllers.
  • Experience in a live performance setting required.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of audio, video, stage crew duties, lighting/Audio console operation

  • Must be tolerant of varying conditions of noise level, temperature, illumination, and air quality.
  • May be exposed to smoke.
  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.
  • Prolonged sitting or standing and mobility.
  • Balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, repetitive motions.
  • Lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects and/or move up to 75 pounds occasionally.
  • Eye/hand coordination.
  • Use of standard office equipment.
  • Ability to distinguish letters, numbers, and symbols.
