Job Description

- Identify non-compliances and execute continuous improvement initiatives
- Carryout tasks required to maintain compliance with environmental regulations, including compliance inspections, compliance sampling (water/air/soil), environmental monitoring and worker education
- Maintain and calibrate environmental monitoring equipment
- Compile and record environmental monitoring data for regulatory reporting requirements in environmental monitoring software
- Collect field data in remote locations in diverse environmental conditions
- Complete wildlife surveys
- Complete shipping and analysis request
- Complete spill follow up in the field
- Ensure all field equipment is safe and in working order (boat, motor, snowmobile)
- Conduct Tool Box Meetings
- Work safely, effectively, independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
- Degree in an Environmental Field
- Some environmental field experience, preferably in mining operations
- Experience handling Snowmobile, ATVs and Boats
- Possess a Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to work in adverse weather conditions
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office software especially Outlook, Excel, Word & PowerPoint
- Schedule: 14 days of work, followed by 14 days for transportation and rest
Reporting to the Environmental Coordinator, you will be part of the Environment Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s values, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
