      Reports to: Deputy Chief of Services and Accountability or their designee Job Responsibilities: The technician will support the Office of Specialized Services (OSS) with the improvement of student outcomes and strengthen the engagement of families as partners, by maintaining and providing technical support to operational systems necessary for the OSS to maintain compliance with State Regulations. To meet this ambitious goal, the Technician will: Manage all aspects of assigning non-BPS student evaluations and non-BPS student special education services. Support OSS by serving on the HelpLine team and answering FreshDesk tickets daily. Manage OSS Aspen and EdPlan: special needs codes, system user access and user challenges. Liaise with BPS Technology to support resolving challenges with the Aspen/EdPlan integration. Provide backup support to OSS EdPlan challenges and to posting and updating documents in EdPlan for OSS Collaborating with the Office of Data and Accountability and Planning and Analysis, regularly generate compliance reports using a variety of compliance trackers and share with respective ADs and Director of Compliance. Complete analysis of compliance related data including benchmarking of the inclusive plan, number of initial evaluations, changes in students placed in various levels of need. Provide data to OSS leadership as requested. Support the smooth and efficient operations of the OSS office and complete other duties as deemed necessary by the supervisor. Qualifications - Required: High School diploma or equivalent Strong communication and organizational skills Expertise in Google work applications and Microsoft Office Suite applications Experience using the Special Education Information Management System (EdPlan) Current authorization to work in the United States - Candidates must have such authorization by their first day of employment Qualifications - Preferred: College degree Fluency in written and oral Spanish Experience with data management Advanced training or experience in Excel or Google Sheets Terms: Managerial, B22.
