- Successfully complete the POSS-MASS aptitude test
- Achieve the Technician II level within 12 months of being hired
- Have demonstrated ability to receive and provide team and individual performance feedback
- Have demonstrated ability and aptitude to use computers in all facets of work
- Have 45-minute response time to plant
- Have three years’ direct or five years’ related experience in performing routine work in one or more of the following areas:
- Mechanical: Valves, Pumps, Compressors, Rigging, Piping/Tubing, Hydraulics, Crane Operations, Fans, Turbines
- Electrical: Breakers, Batteries, Switchgear, Transformers, Motors, Regulators, Power Supplies,
- Buss Work, Wiring/conduit, Generators
- Instruments: Sensors, Transmitters, Regulators, Power Supplies, Tubing & Valves, Calibrations, Troubleshooting, Switches, Portable Monitors
- Controls: Pneumatics, Solid state, Programming, Digital, Analog, Designing, Troubleshooting,
- Distributive, Turbine
- Systems : Steam, Water, Fuel, Boilers, Air, Cooling, Chemistry, Heat Rate, Turbines, Electrical

Title: Technician I (Welder)
Location: Coyote Springs, Boardman, OR
Rate of Pay: $47.46/hour for Tech I; $59.23 for Tech II (as qualified); $66.42 (as qualified) for Tech III
Shift: Tech I --Day Shift, Tech II and Tech III --Rotating
Job Purpose:
Trains to become a Technician II, which perform system and equipment, operations and maintenance, to include completing associated administrative tasks. Works safely, responsibly, and progressively to maximize plant operational reliability and profitability as part of a highly skilled self-directed work group.
Reports to: Plant Maintenance Manager
Works closely with: All Plant Personnel
This position is represented by International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local 125

Starting pay is listed in the job posting above. Salary range determined by the current collective bargaining agreement and may include step increases based on time in the position. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance-based incentive bonus.
