- Tests and troubleshoots product per the written procedures.
- Troubleshoots problems found during test.
- Assembles products from written procedures and a model.
- Performs intricate soldering of SMT, wire, and through-hole components to IPC-JSTD-001 standards.
- Evaluates coworker product for correctness.
- Maintains a neat and organized work area.
- Completes all other duties as assigned, including supporting other Production departments via transfer when required.
- Completion of an Electronics program (such as Electronics Technologist) is required.
- Ability to interpret electronics schematics to isolate problem circuitry is required.
- Experience with Bench testing FM two-way radios, use of Spectrum analyzer and /or Communication analyzer, FM two-way communication is an asset.
- Experience in electronics repair or production is an asset.
- Proficient soldering skills are required.
- Ability to spend extended periods at a bench and maintain focus on detailed tasks is required.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination is an asset.
- Demonstrates a willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to sit/stand for long periods of time.
- A strong work ethic with a positive approach to working with others.

Role Overview
The Electronics Technician role is an integral part of AEM’s ability to manufacture exceptional avionics products for our clients. The Electronics Technician position entails the assembly, testing and troubleshooting of products with a moderate level of difficulty, from a bare circuit board to the final test stage.
