      The responsibility of the Rehab Service Technician is to meet and exceed customer expectations through the provision of quality workmanship in a timely manner. Responsible for technical service and assembly of Home Health Care/Rehab power and mobility equipment. In addition, the Service Technician may pick up and deliver various items and products to customers homes and Lawtons store locations.

      Here’s where you’ll be focusing:

      Customer Service

      • Manage Home Health Care/Rehab Equipment Repairs
      • Ensure parts required for repair are in stock
      • Perform Custom Modifications – access, assemble, install Scooters/Wheelchairs
      • Perform residential installations i.e.stair lifts
      • Share technical expertise with team and clients
      • Perform vehicle installations
      • Installation of wheel chair accessories
      • Provide technical support to Field Service Technicians
      • Assist lift team with installations
      • Other duties as assigned by the Rehab Manager

      Personal/Professional Development

      • Adhere to all company Health & Safety guidelines, policies and regulations
      • Attend all training and certification courses
      • Maintain required certification

      • May be required to lift up to 50lbs
      • Two person lift required for weights exceeding 50lbs
      • Ability to stand for long periods of time
      • Physical work including; but not limited to bending, lifting, and reaching
      • Exposure to varying temperatures over short periods of time
      • Exposure to sanitation and cleaning chemicals
      • Flexible hours and overtime

      What you have to offer:

      Technical Skills

      • Above average communication skills (both oral and written)
      • Strong organizational skills interpersonal
      • Ability to work independently in a fast environment
      • Ability to use mechanical tools (repair, adjust wheelchairs & related products)
      • Critical thinking skills
      • Must have a valid driver’s license
      • Must be bondable and have a clean driving abstract

      • Ability to use mechanical tools (repair, adjust wheelchairs & related products)
      • General labour, mechanical and/or electrical experience preferred
      • Experience with health care equipment
