      Position Overview
      Maintenance Technician I trouble shoots electrical and mechanical systems within the plant. Maintenance Technician I will maintains production and facility equipment according to Company standards of safety and quality. Additionally, Maintenance Technician I supports an environment of continuous improvement by making and implementing suggestions.

      Areas of Focus
      Maintenance Technician I will follow the preventive maintenance schedule in accordance with the equipment manufacturer's recommendation and industry accepted best practices for all plant equipment. Maintenance Technician I will comply with all safety requirements and proper use of PPE as well as understand and follow the Quality policy and Lean initiatives.

      Responsibilities
      • Maintain equipment while performing basic mechanical and electrical repair work
      • Notice and report any abnormal conditions/failures
      • Perform machinery and basic equipment examinations and report to supervisors.
      • Perform machine shop functions (sheet metal, steel layout and welding)
      • Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
      • Follow company policy, processes and action plans as it relates to all plant machinery
      • Must follow and understand production daily goals and requirements
      • Perform general housekeeping
      • Understand and follow Work Instructions
      • Detect and report defective materials
      • Dispose of contaminated work materials in appropriate containers
      • Follow and maintain good housekeeping and hygiene practices

      Basic Qualifications
      • High School Diploma or equivalent
      • 6 months – 1-year experience in an industrial environment working within a maintenance (electrical) department as a Maintenance Electrician/ Technician
      • Good writing and communication skills
      • Basic understanding of MS Office (Word / Excel)
      • Forklift Certified
