Job Description
Lockheed Martin Energy is commercializing a new class of flow battery technology for low cost grid-scale energy storage based on novel aqueous electrolyte solutions. We are seeking a motivated individual to join our Engineering Operations team in supporting the execution of the test program in Andover, MA. Typical responsibilities will include installation, operation, troubleshooting and disassembly of battery systems, equipment calibration & repair, inventory management and facilities support. The successful candidate will interface with chemical, mechanical and electrical engineers, battery scientists and lab technicians in facilitating lean initiatives and optimizing operating efficiency.
Candidates should have some laboratory-type or chemical handling experience, familiarly with documentation, be comfortable following calibration and standard operating procedures, and be able to reliably follow safety procedures and protocols. A desire for learning is critical and highly encouraged in this complex environment.Desired skills
• Experience in electrochemical systems and/or chemical lab environments executing test scripts on complex systems
• Experience in Mechanical Assembly, Electrical Assembly, or Assembly Testing in a manufacturing environment
• Experience following written and verbal procedures, updating laboratory SOPs and identifying areas of improvement.
• Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles and experience with implementation of associated tools 5s, Kaizen etc...Other Important Information

Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Washington or Washington DC is $51,800 - $99,300 . Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
