      Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), industrial communication systems, and network infrastructure within our water and wastewater operations, with a strong focus on wastewater collection pump station systems.


      The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in process automation, network/server administration, and pump station control systems, with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex SCADA environments in a utility setting.

      • Program, maintain, and troubleshoot PLCs, RTUs, and SCADA Pack controllers used in wastewater pump station operations.
      • Configure and calibrate instrumentation and control devices, including flow meters, pressure transducers, and level sensors at pump station sites.
      • Develop, support, and maintain hardware and software for SCADA systems, network infrastructure (WAN/LAN), and server environments related to wastewater collection systems.
      • Administer and maintain security systems for SCADA and control environments, ensuring alignment with IT/OT security practices and cybersecurity standards.
      • Support and troubleshoot industrial communication systems (radio, cellular, fiber, Ethernet, etc.) and electrical relay-logic control panels within pump station facilities.
      • Perform preventative maintenance and system health checks on critical SCADA components, including battery replacements and telemetry verifications.
      • Participate in pump station construction, commissioning, and startup activities, including SCADA system acceptance testing.
      • Interpret engineering drawings, P&IDs, and specifications for the integration and upgrade of pump station controls and SCADA functionality.
      • Create and maintain accurate documentation, including maintenance logs, configuration records, and system schematics.
      • Provide training and technical support to operations staff on SCADA interface usage, alarm response protocols, and pump station control strategies.
      • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to after-hours SCADA alarms and system failures as needed.
      • High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
      • Four (4) years of experience in automation, controls, and SCADA systems, preferably in a utility or wastewater collections environment.
      • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
      • Working knowledge of relevant industry codes and standards related to automation, electrical systems, and pump station operations.
      • Advanced technical certifications or coursework in SCADA systems, automation, control systems, or electrical engineering is preferred.
      • Experience with SCADA programming, field instrumentation, and wastewater system integration.
      • Strong understanding of engineering principles, industrial process control, and electrical troubleshooting in pump station environments.
      • Familiarity with NFPA, NEC, ISA, and cybersecurity standards applicable to SCADA and wastewater infrastructure.
      • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with proven ability to create detailed documentation and system reports.
      • Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team, including coordination with engineering, IT, and field operations.
