Are you looking for an entry level role that can help build your career? Do you want to get paid for your technical training and have your earned certifications paid for?

      The Advanced Manufacturing Technician Apprenticeship Program (AMTAP) is a United States Department of Labor (USDOL) Registered Apprenticeship. AMTAP will teach you how to build space flight hardware by providing a phased approach to learning with both classroom and hands-on learning opportunities at our Lockheed Martin Space facility in Littleton, CO.

      No experience, no problem! This program will teach you everything you need to be successful. Our graduation success rate is well above the national average, proving our instructor quality and team dedication!

      What are we looking for:

      • Great hand and eye coordination

      • Ability to follow detailed work instructions

      • Works well in a fast paced, team environment

      • Interested in continuously learning and adapting to ongoing industry changes

      • Manual dexterity skills (if you find that you do not enjoy working with your hands, it may be an indication that you could find being an apprentice within this program a frustrating experience, as these kinds of activities will consume a large portion of your time)
      *Examples of manual (fine motor skills) dexterity*
      - Painting
      - Woodcarving
      - Sewing/needlepoint/ Crocheting or knitting
      - Robotics club
      - Building Drones
      - Building computers/circuit boards/Processors
      - Cross-stitching
      - Soldering
      - Computer/Console games
      - Cooking
      - Origami

      • Ability to perform precision work
      *Examples of performing precision work*
      - Performing operations on components that range from .002”-.25” with a repeatable, on target outcome
      - An archer hitting the same spot on the bulls-eye three times consecutively
      - A lab technician mixing a bonding agent in which the given substance is weighed 5 times and the measurement is the same value each time
      - An electronic technician hand installing components that meet the target criteria each time

      What you will be doing:

      • Participate in a 9 week paid training program (continued participation in the program is contingent upon successful completion of each program milestone)
      • Work 40 hours per week during training (4/10 schedule)
      • Get paid $15.00/hour (non-negotiable) + benefits as you complete your training! (We offer Medical (HDHP), Dental and Vision benefits)
      Learn new technical skills such as torquing, encapsulation, point to point wiring, and reading engineering documents.
      • Have the opportunity to earn several industry recognized certifications (paid for by Lockheed Martin) including:
      o IPC 620 – Cable Harness Certification
      o JSTD Limited Solder

      Post training details:

      • Opportunities for potential full time employment for graduating team members, including increase in base pay.
      • If hired full-time post training program, various work shifts may be available. Facility is open 7-days per week.
      • In order to be considered for the AMTAP program you must be willing and able to work non standard shifts. • HS Education or Equivalent
      • Hand eye coordination and fine dexterity skills
      • Ability to work in a dynamic manufacturing environment
      • Ability to demonstrate learning agility to pass both written and hands-on certification requirements
      • All applicants must be a US Citizen.
      • Ability to work first, second, or 3x12 (Fri-Sun) shift post training program. • Experience with M.S. Office applications
      • Electronic/Electrical Theory background
      • Familiarity with Aerospace Environment/ Experience in a production environment
