      About this role:

      Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Business Services Director to provide Business Services and Business Management support to the Commercial, Corporate & Investment Banking Technology ("CCIBT") CIO responsible for International, Coverage IT and Securities Finance and Collateral technology. Based in London, this role will report to the CCIBT CxO and head of Strategy and Transformation. Responsibilities will include:

      • CIO Strategy Alignment and Execution of Operating Model, Transformation, Metrics (Agile, Product, Workforce), Location Strategy, Workforce Management and Expense Initiatives

      • Management CIO Level Approvals/Cadence

      • Resource Requisition Management

      • Resource Onboarding

      • Calibration and Talent Planning

      • Management of Leadership Meetings

      • 3rd Party Strategy & Governance

      • Finance Oversight & HR Partnership

      • Manage Risk, Compliance & Audit Initiatives

      • Application Repository Adherence and Governance

      • Supporting Regulatory Engagement and Updates

      • Insights & Analytics


      In this role, you will:

      • Manage and develop a highly specialized Technology Business Services team and managers with focus on delivering moderate to high complexity service for cross functional stakeholders and internal partners associated with the functional area or who are affected by its outcomes.

      • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development by utilizing research and data in addition to in depth understanding of organizational goals, priorities, and technology while developing executable strategies and plans.

      • Lead Technology Business Services team by making strategic decisions to resolve highly complex issues to meet high risk deliverables.

      • Interpret and develop range of policies and procedures for technology business functions with moderate to high level of complexity and risk.

      • Collaborate with and influence all levels of professionals including technology industry leaders, financial industry leaders, analysts, and regulators, as well as interact directly with more experienced leadership and executive management.

      • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Business Services.

      • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.


      Required Qualifications:

      • Experience in Technology Business Services, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.

      • Experience managing Technology Business Services teams (aka technology COO organizations).

      • Experience developing and implementing technology strategy.

      • Demonstrated prior experiences in effective engagement with senior technology and business stakeholders.

      • Strong relevant prior experiences in effective management of technology financials and risk.

      • Ability to effectively drive and lead change in an organization with Wells Fargo’s size, scale and complexity.

      • Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing and retaining a high performing team of leaders, strong technical experts and high performing professionals in a cultural environment that achieves results through team member engagement and satisfaction.

      • Strong knowledge and understanding of the financial, operational, technical and regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment.

      • Ability to develop technology strategy, operating model & roadmaps with clear objectives and aligned with business, data and technology strategies.

      • Proven experience as a highly effective leader with credibility from demonstrating strong business and technology acumen.

      • Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style.

      • Demonstrated experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions.

      • Proven experience in establishing a vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication, and driving action towards the vision through the effective management of goals and objectives.

      • Demonstrated vendor negotiation and partnership skills.

      • Strong communication (oral and written) skills.

      • Strong commitment to diversity and inclusion.

      • Knowledge of the various regulatory regimes (e.g. the Senior Manager Regime) in the UK, EMEA and APAC.

      • Relevant prior experience as the senior leader responsible for driving wholesale banking related technology services and solutions in large and dynamic financial services business context.
