      Job Summary

This Technology Consultant will oversee the data strategy and development for the Onboard WiFi Technology Team, working to build and maintain the dashboard solutions to test passenger experience using the inflight experience and connectivity through the Onboard WiFi platform. This role assesses and delivers testing trends to leadership to be used to recommend improvement opportunities, suggests prioritization to Leadership based on value, and identifies potential solutions. This Technology Consultant is a strategic problem solver, technical data developer who is excited about the opportunity to be part of meaningful and impactful initiatives and drive the future of Southwest.

This role is a hybrid position based out of our Corporate Campus in Dallas, TX, which requires Employees to work onsite on our Corporate Campus at least three days a week. The Department designates the specific three days of the week Employees must work on-site.

      Responsibilities

      • Identify new ways to create value through business process improvements and technology enhancements proactively through data analysis
      • Analyze impact of problems, facilitate resolutions, and present to Leadership as needed
      • Complete assigned and project tasks with minimal direction
      • Develop deep understanding of data development, customer priorities, value drivers, and challenges, and use this knowledge to translate Customer needs
      • Drive solutions within a Team/group without being a subject matter expert
      • Partner with Senior Leadership across the Company to lead various activities required in the ongoing development and delivery of strategic initiatives
      • Anticipate large-scale, complex challenges within domain; including risk, dependencies, timelines, scope, etc.
      • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders

      Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

      • Technical development experience combining several data sources and building dashboards for non-technical stakeholders
      • Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, human resources modeling, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources
      • Knowledge of principles and processes for providing Customer and personal services, including Customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of Customer satisfaction
      • Ability to understand the implications of new information for both current and future problem-solving and decision-making
      • Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems
      • Ability to give full attention to what other people are saying, take time to understand the points being made, ask questions as appropriate, and not interrupt at inappropriate times
      • Ability to communicate information and ideas in verbally and in writing so others will understand
      • Ability to tell when something is wrong or is likely to go wrong, which does not involve solving the problem, only recognizing there is a problem
      • Skilled in Confluence, Oracle Primavera Enterprise Project Portfolio Management, Atlassian JIRA, or similar tools
      • Skilled in IBM Cognos Impromptu, Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services SSAS, Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition, Tableau, or similar tools
      Education
      • Required: High School Diploma or GED
      • Required: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience in Business, Technology, Finance, or related field

      Experience
      • Required: Advanced-level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in solving complex problems and driving multiple stakeholders towards implementable solutions

      Physical Abilities
      • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
      • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
      • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job

      Other Qualifications
      • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
      • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
      • Must be at least 18 years of age
      • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

      Pay & Benefits:

      Competitive market salary from $124,550 to $138,400 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company. Additional pay opportunities for Company authorized work beyond part time or full-time schedule
