- Branding & Identity
- Define and evolve the brand identity for all technology products and digital assets.
- Ensure consistent visual and messaging alignment across platforms, collateral, and campaigns.
- Create branding toolkits and guidelines for internal and external use.
- Digital Marketing & Communications
- Lead creative direction for digital marketing materials, product launches, and promotional campaigns related to Court Technology Services and court technology deployments.
- Develop visual assets and narratives to support storytelling for technology initiatives.
- Collaborate with the Courts marketing and communications team to build brand awareness and user engagement.
- UI/UX Design Leadership
- Oversee and guide UI/UX strategy, ensuring all software interfaces are user-centered, accessible, and visually compelling.
- Lead the creation of wireframes, mockups, prototypes, and design systems for new and existing applications.
- Collaborate with software developers, product managers, and end users to iterate and refine experiences.
- Team & Project Leadership
- Manage and mentor a multidisciplinary team of designers, developers, and content creators.
- Prioritize and balance multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality results.
- Align creative efforts with organizational goals and customer needs.
OPTION I: 9+ years of experience in creative leadership roles, including branding, digital marketing, and software UI/UX design.
OPTION II: Bachelor’s degree in design, marketing, human-computer interaction, or related field -AND- 5+ years of experience in creative leadership roles, including branding, digital marketing, and software UI/UX design.
OPTION III: Any combination of education and experience that is equivalent to the qualifications.
- An advanced degree in design, marketing, human-computer interaction, or related field.
- Strong portfolio showcasing branding, UI/UX design, and digital marketing campaign execution.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design tools, including Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, and prototyping platforms.
- Exceptional communication, collaboration, and storytelling skills to align creative efforts with strategic goals.
- Experience working in agile product development environments to support iterative design and execution.
- Passion for creating modern, user-centered, and engaging digital experiences that drive impact.
- Visionary thinker with a user-first mindset.
- Comfortable navigating between creative strategy and technical execution.
- Ability to translate complex technical concepts into accessible, impactful visuals

Los Angeles Superior Court is the largest unified trial court in the United States. Its 580 judges and commissioners work in one of the 36 facilities within the Court's 12 judicial districts and are supported by more than 4,800 full-time Court employees. The Court has an annual budget of more than $1 billion. Note: Credit for experience is given based on a 40-hour workweek. Part-time experience is credited on a part-time ratio, i.e., working 20 hours per week for two months equals one month of experience. No additional credit is given for overtime.
DESIRABLE QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate will possess the following desirable qualifications:
