Intern candidates will be progressing toward a bachelor’s degree in a technical program at the time of hire. Preferred degrees include, but are not limited to, Computer Science, Computer Science and Engineering, and Software Engineering. Degrees related to business technology disciplines such as Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, and Business Information Systems may be considered based on the depth of technology experience.

Location: A ll internship roles have the expectation for greater than 50% of their workweek to be in the office. Applicants should be prepared to be aligned with one of the following offices:
Work Authorization: This position is open only to individuals who are eligible for employment in the United States and who would not require visa sponsorship now or in the future.
Schedule: Th is 12-week internship will begin on May 20 th , 2024 , and conclude in mid-August. You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for the entire 12 weeks . Working days are Monday – Friday.
Market Range: For this position, we anticipate offering an hourly rate of $21.00 - $44.40, depending on relevant factors, including education and experience.

T he program ’s mission is to support the professional and personal development needs of early career technology interns, as well as encourage the growth of their technical knowledge . Our summer internship program offers students an opportunity to engage in challenging professional work experience s . The internship is designed to further develop an individual’s technical skills aligned with their interests and business need . A program manager will work with interns to determine the best role for them before starting. In addition to their role work, interns will have the opportunity to participate in an I nnovations P roject which seeks to solve challenges related to real business needs .

What you’ll do :
Throughout the summer, you will be assigned a project that challenges your critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, while building industry knowledge. Your work over the summer will also allow you to make direct contributions to our mission and company goals.
Summer Innovations Project: Participate in a 12-week Summer Innovations Project with peers to develop a proof of concept for solving prevalent health care issues.
Through conducting surveys and creating mobile applications, previous projects have helped make an impact in:
Leader Speaker Series: You and your fellow interns will be exposed to a variety of sessions and presentations given by members of The Cigna Group community.
Community: Build relationships and connect with cross-functional partners, peers, and other technology experts across the company. This includes attending TECDP community service events and annual training with full-time TECDP associates.

*Summer housing is available for interns who live more than 25 miles from their assigned office.
