Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director to lead product area in Home Lending Technology responsible for daily support, systems availability and reliability of key applications and platforms, and drive transformation of Technology including modernization of key systems and agile teams' growth and maturation. This position will interface with CEO of Home Lending and their leadership team will lead transformation through integration of disparate systems, influencing business processes and help build a digitized, simplified and standardized.
Additionally, drive the efficiency, productivity and delivery of critical business capabilities with a focus on software engineering guidelines, leadership, architecture standards, practices and tools.
The leader is required to possess strong home lending / mortgage services experience, demonstrated knowledge across business units, strategic thinking, and a data-drive decision mind-set. Regulatory guidelines for this technology landscape
Position Responsibilities
- Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads.
- Provide thought leadership both from a strategic and technical perspective for various initiatives within the group.
- Demonstrated expertise in people management with capability to identify, recruit, develop, motivate, and retain talent. Ability to manage managers and senior technologists.
- Demonstrated strong leadership, communication, and relationship skills. This includes experience presenting to, collaborating with, and building trusted relationships with executive management, senior management, technical mangers, and peers to influence direction.
- Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
- Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results oriented leadership style.
- Proven experience in establishing a vision, developing the strategy to support the vision, gaining consensus across key functional leadership through effective communication, and driving action towards the vision through the effective management of goals and objectives.

- Build capable teams, lead all facets of development and implementation of business priorities, and continuously manage and optimize those strategies as needed.
- Identify, Develop and groom talent with direct and indirect reporting teams
Essential Qualifications
- Must have 18+ years of experience, of which at least 7+ in managing and building teams in a financial domain
- Strong experience in home lending / mortgage services Technology roles and demonstrable ability for delivering transformation programs
- 10+ years of executive leadership experience managing a complex diverse technology organization of large scale, including managers, individual contributors, and vendor resources across multiple global locations. Experience of managing and leading fast paced engineering teams, working in a matrix organization globally.
- Strong planning (finance, resource, strategy, business), decision making and prioritization skills
- Experience of working in Agile (SAFE Agile) model with cross-team interaction with Product owners, scrum master, scrum teams etc.
- Strong presentation and communication skills to be able to engage with senior business and technology stakeholders.

- Executive level leadership in financial services experience managing a complex organization including senior managers, managers, individual contributors, and vendor resources across multiple locations
- Proven record of delivery across organizational lines – ability to influence outcomes at senior levels
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
- Experience managing multiple or large technology infrastructure components
- Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications, who can also assist in building and presenting complex topics to Executive management in multiple mediums
- Experience delivering results in a highly regulated, deadline driven environment
- Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives
- Ability to manage to concurrent competing and changing deadlines, quickly assess issue and concerns while bringing those issues to quick resolution
- Proactive innovator, motivator and change agent; able to lead change effectively and constructively in an organization
- Experience creating and achieving a desired future state vision through influence on individual and group goals, reinforcements, and systems
- Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
- Good Experience in following technologies
- Java, J2EE
- Oracle / SQL Server & NoSQL DB like Mongo DB.
- Angular or React
- Cloud (PCF, GCP or AWS)
- Micro Services
- CI/CD Automation and its toolset
- Domain & Event driven design
- Experience deploying automation and cognitive and science-based techniques to manage data, predict scenarios and prescribe actions, with an eye on customer compliance.
- Must have solid understanding of current and future trends and practices in Technology.
- Demonstrated experience motivating and influencing groups or individuals across organizational boundaries to gain trust and confidence to make timely decisions.
- Experienced in strategic design and development for enterprise scale development organizations, driving speed, stability, and quality of delivery
- Demonstrated expertise in Agile development, Customer Engagement & Satisfaction, secure coding practices, Devops.
