      We are now seeking a spirited Product Manager to join our Flash Smelting product group and be responsible for equipment competence. This is an excellent opportunity to become a team member of an industry-leading specialist.

      This position is mainly in Espoo, Finland, but we are happy to offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options.

      Team you belong to

      You will be working in our product and technology group in close cooperation with engineering, delivery, and sales functions to provide solutions and offerings in all phases of the product lifecycle, from developing a sales opportunity to project execution to commissioning to warranty support and aftermarket solutions. You will work closely with process designers to create the best concept for our customers. Supplier and customer communications are also essential parts of our work. So, active communication and a proactive approach are critical parts of this job.

      What you will do

      You will be managing, developing, and optimizing dedicated proprietary equipment for Flash Smelting technology:

      • Be responsible for dedicated proprietary equipment design and development to achieve competitiveness and sustainability in the smelter lifecycle.
      • Act as a specialist in the product-related area in our smelting team.
      • Ensure that safety regulations, directives, and standards are followed during the design, manufacturing, installation, operation, and maintenance.
      • Conduct risk assessments and implement required actions.
      • Keeping product master data, manuals, patent portfolio, and technical specifications updated.
      • Support preparing proposals for smelter sales and providing product support.
      • Participate in process and equipment problem-solving activities.
      • Maintain and develop the proprietary product and integrate the 3rd party equipment in a modularized and technical way if needed.
      • Ensure competitiveness of the product and follow-up IPRs, suppliers, and competitors.
      • Plan, create, and perform product training, and possibly also participate in giving training both in the back office and at customer sites
      • Carry out commissioning activities at sites. Greenfields or modernizations of existing installed base and equipment commissioning supervision and support as a part of a team.
      • Carry out studies and equipment audits, etc. for customers worldwide around varying topics related to product area

      Who You are

      The Product Manager's primary responsibility is to take ownership of your product and drive topics proactively, so we are looking at the following:

      • Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D. degree in Engineering, preferably in metallurgy, chemical engineering, process engineering, or related field
      • Proven successful experience in metals processing or heavy industry operations, maintenance, or engineering.
      • Wish to pursue a profound technical specialist role in your career.
      • Ability to work independently but also as a part of the team
      • Good social and cooperation skills in a multinational environment
      • Ability to efficiently create technical material in written form and convincingly present your results.
      • Ability to travel as required.
      • Problem-solving skills and end-user-driven mindset
      • Language skills: English (written, listening, and oral)
