      Job Summary:

      Caterpillar’s Construction Digital and Technology (CD&T) group is searching for a Product Service Engineer to manage product support deliverables for our technology products. This role will own resolution for more complex site level technology issues that typically span multiple groups. Additionally, the role will work with global marketing and other partner organizations to drive resolution for global support issues in the CD&T product portfolio. This position is ideal for individuals seeking opportunities to expand their leadership capabilities, collaborate with global teams, and gain exposure to all of Caterpillar’s machine product groups.

      What You Will Do:

      • Own site technology customer support issues from end to end and work with cross functional members within the organization to drive issues to resolution
      • Lead support focused projects that include cross functional members within the organization to achieve business goals

      Education requirement:

      Requires a degree in an accredited Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent Engineering curriculum.

      What skills you will have:

      Problem Solving:

      • Ability to analyze risks and benefits of alternative approaches provide solution recommendations to stakeholders within the CD&T and wider organization team.
      • Utilize all methods of tools available to identify problems.
      • Build and utilize a network of technical experts in the solution process including product groups, component engineering teams and other partner organizations.

      Service Excellence:

      • In the problem-solving process, be able to identify or anticipate customers' or Cat dealer expectations and satisfy them proactively.
      • Resolve complex customer complaints or problems for CD&T technology platforms.
      • Be a coach-guide others on the team how to deliver excellent customer service to our Cat dealers and customers.
      • Maintain Cat dealer’s and customer's esteem of the organization through timely response and issue ownership.


      Technical Excellence:

      • Engage appropriate subject matter resources in the organization to effectively resolve technical issues.
      • Coach others in promoting, defining, analyzing, and providing superior technical solutions to CD&T problems.
      • Provide effective solutions to moderate technical challenges through strong technical competence, effectively examining implications of events and issues.
      • Assume accountability for personal technical performance of CD&T product issues

      • Project leadership knowledge
      • Excellent problem-solving skills
      • Excellent written and verbal skills
      • Product/customer support or quality related knowledge
      • Knowledge of telematics, jobsite grading systems, jobsite safety systems
      • Knowledge troubleshooting construction machinery

      Additional Information:

      This position requires the candidate to work onsite five days a week at the Mossville, IL or Clayton, NC office.

      Domestic relocation assistance is available for this position.

      This position may require up to 10% - 15% travel.

      Summary Pay Range:

      $110,520.00 - $165,840.00
