      Job Title - Technology Specialist , VP

      Location - Pune

      Role Description

      Technology Management is responsible for improving the technological aspects of operations to reduce infrastructure costs, improve functional performance and help deliver Divisional business goals. Work includes: •Partnering with key internal stakeholders to translate bank strategy into objectives and plans for implementation supporting the delivery of world class technology solutions •Planning and managing computer operations and production support, systems and database administration, network operations, and client service •Ensuring systems performance and service level requirements are met •Managing and maintaining strategic relationships with key IT product and services providers •Transferring business requirements into technical solutions or into Release Management •Providing in-depth technical expertise for both tactical and operational initiatives

      Your key responsibilities

      Part of a global team, forging strong relationships with colleagues and business and formulate and execute technology strategy

      • Own an application platform supporting a wide variety of Alternatives funds and businesses globally
      • Manage and motivate a team of application owners and technical specialists
      • Act as Service Relationship Owner for third parties/vendors
      • Coordinate application life-cycle, including access management, security, disaster recovery, day-to-day support and business workflow management
      • Perform data analysis, identify data quality issues and develop strategies for data cleansing and transformation.
      • Design innovative, sustainable solutions which are congruent with the strategic direction of the Bank.
      • Manage Audit, Regulatory and Third-Part audits/risk assessments.
      • Conduct targeted reviews to identify risks, opportunities, and areas for improvement.
      • Interact with Auditors and Regulators as needed.
      • Challenge the ‘status quo’ and influences key stakeholders to ensure industry best practice is adhered to within their area of expertise.
      • Ensure knowledge articles and documentation are up-to-date
      • Be responsible for IT Governance in line with company policies and regulations

      Your skills and experience

      Skills and Experience You’ll Need:

      • Experience leading and inspiring teams/people towards a common goal
      • Experience in a business aligned IT department of a financial institution (e.g. 20+ years of industry experience as an Architect/Senior Engineer/Tech Lead)
      • Effective problem-solving, decision-making capability and leadership qualities
      • Strong verbal and written communication skills with experience of reporting to senior management
      • Ability to maintain objectivity and independence in raising areas of operational risk exposure as well as in having an effective working relationship with key stakeholders
      • Experience in handling projects independently and working to deadlines and budget i.e., strong project management skills
      • Self-starter, proactive and excellent team player with ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment and always with professionalism. Ability to be open minded, share information, transfer knowledge and expertise to team members
      • Enterprise technology knowledge and experience (e.g. application/data migration, architecture, infrastructure, data transfer methods (SFTP), application and database technologies)
      • Experience with developing and managing business applications (hands-on technology experience with Java, MS SQL or similar and processes like Identity and Access Management (IAM))
      • Experience with vendor hosted SaaS solutions
      • Project management and delivery experience in a large global organisation with exposure to external vendors and service providers
      • Good understanding of risk frameworks, control environments and application governance.
      • Experience with software development lifecycle (e.g. Agile, Waterfall)
      • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited college or university with a concentration in Computer Science or Software Engineering (or equivalent)

      • Higher education in Finance or a similar field
      • Familiarity with Finance and specifically Asset Management industry, Alternative investments
      • Ability to interact with stakeholders of all levels, negotiation and influencing skills
      • Positive attitude and a team player

      • Strong delivery focus and experience in leading projects end to end.
