    • Support school initiatives to foster an inclusive, welcoming learning environment.

    • Complete additional duties as assigned by building and/or district administration.

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university.

    • Appropriate CSDE Certification and Endorsement required (047-TECHNOLOGY EDUCATION, PRE-K THROUGH GRADE 12)

    • Relevant teaching experience; high school experience preferred.

    • Proficient in technology integration, including design software and engineering applications.

    • Experience with the PLTW Curriculum preferred.

    • Demonstrated ability to facilitate design thinking and project-based learning.

      Position: Technology/PLTW Teacher
      Location: Bunnell High School
      Grade Levels: 9-12


      Description:

      Stratford Public Schools seeks a dynamic Technology/PLTW Teacher for Bunnell High School to engage students in STEM-focused design thinking and project-based learning. This position focuses on delivering hands-on, real-world applications of engineering, architecture, and digital design through Project Lead the Way (PLTW) Curriculum and related courses.

      Courses include, but not limited to:

      • Civil Engineering & Architecture (Honors)

      • Video Game Design 1 & 2 (Honors)

      • Introduction to Engineering Design

      • Study Hall Supervision

      • Advanced Technology/STEM Projects

      The successful candidate will create engaging, inquiry-based learning experiences aligned with the Connecticut Frameworks and industry standards. The teacher will also play a key role in promoting innovation, critical thinking, and collaboration among students. Additionally, the teacher will be asked to serve as the Advisor for the National Technical Honor Society (NTHS), supporting students in recognizing and celebrating academic achievement and leadership in career and technical education pathways.
