      Responsibilities :
      Design and maintain grant website and set up (including domain and content management)
      - Think of creative ways to implement media in learning experiences that use storytelling as a main component for the learning
      research ed-tech tools available at TC and other platforms
      - Understand and implement new interactive designs to enhance the learning experience
      - Design, build and maintain social media presence and implement a posting strategy
      - Provide input for social media advertising campaigns
      - Respond to all postings on social media channels
      - Brainstorm new and creative growth strategies for social media, email, blog and video channels
      - Evaluate emerging social media, review and digital marketing channels and trends.
      - Identify social media trends and insights
      - Research how social media can be used for the grant cause in new and creative ways
      - Creation of short video clips when needed for social or curriculum (understanding of scripting and editing)
      - Manage all video assets
      - Assist on all video production shoots
      - Research innovative ways of using tech, media, creative on all aspects of the grant
      - Attendance at Internal Team Meeting on a weekly basis.
      - Other duties as assigned.

      Job Summary/Basic Functions:

      Funded by the Department of Homeland Security, Dr. Amra Sabic-El-Rayess is leading a project that will demonstrate how non-inclusive pedagogies and curricula can instigate educational displacement, isolation, and othering. The team will launch a multi-module professional training program aimed at addressing the gap in professional development for educators in countering biases as a method to mitigate risks and amplify protective factors against targeted violence and the radicalization of students in U.S. classrooms.

      This project is looking for a Tech/Social Media/Creative Graduate Research Assistant to lead technology, social media, creative and website tasks related to the grant. The position is dynamic and includes opportunities for growth and leadership.

      Minimum Qualifications:

      PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

      - Strong technical skills (LMS, ed-tech, Website development. etc) and willing to learn new technologies
      - Experience with various ed-tech tools
      - Familiarity working with vendors (website, video, graphics creation)
      - Detail oriented.
      - Creative Thinker
      - Video and audio editing (able to put short clips together using online tools)
      - Excellent written, editing, and communication skills.
      - Social Media coordination/management: Expertise and experience in using social media platforms such as Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Youtube, etc.
      - Demonstrated experience and expertise creating visually appealing and engaging content that supports the learning experience
      - Big plus for understanding youth audiences
      - Interest in Equity, Inclusion, and Anti-Bias content themes

      Other Information & Compensation:

      • 15-20 hrs/week
      • Student cannot hold another Graduate Research Assistant position simultaneously
      • This position will earn $5,000 for the Spring 2024 semester + 3 credits (if taking a 6 credit minimum). Depending on when the GRA is hired
