Program Development & Implementation:
Lead programs focused on youth development in areas such as college and career readiness, leadership, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math), financial literacy, activities and health education. -
Supervision & Support:
Collaborate with Sr. Regional program Directors to support program associates, volunteers, and interns working with tweens and teens. Ensure they are trained to engage this age group effectively, adhering to best practices in youth development and social-emotional learning. -
Relationship Building:
Foster positive relationships with tweens, teens, families, and community members. Encourage youth voice by involving them in program planning and decision-making processes. -
Community Engagement & Partnerships:
Collaborate with local businesses, educational institutions, and enrichment partners to provide youth with diverse learning experiences. This may include arranging guest speakers, field trips, mentorship opportunities, and service-learning projects. -
Safety & Compliance:
Ensure all programs and activities are conducted in a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment. Monitor compliance with organizational policies, state regulations, and safety standards. -
Evaluation & Reporting:
Track program attendance, engagement, and outcomes. Gather feedback from participants, families, and stakeholders to assess program impact and continually refine offerings. -
Events & Special Projects:
Collaborate with the Sr.Regional Program Directors to plan and execute events such as family engagement nights, teen leadership summits, and community service days. Lead special projects that align with organizational goals and youth development outcomes. -
Education: No degree needed

Experience:
-
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working with youth aged 12-17 in a community, educational, or recreational setting.

Experience in program management, including developing, implementing, and evaluating youth programs.

Previous leadership or supervisory experience preferred.

Skills & Competencies:

Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with youth, families, and community partners.

Knowledge of youth development principles and social-emotional learning (SEL) frameworks.

Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, with a strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Creativity in program design and problem-solving, particularly in engaging diverse youth populations.

Competence in managing budgets and resources efficiently.

Certifications:

First Aid and CPR certification (required or obtained within 90 days of hire).

Youth development training certifications are preferred.

The Tweens and Teens Lead is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing programs and initiatives tailored for youth ages 12-17. This role ensures the successful engagement and development of tweens and teens through meaningful activities that foster personal growth, leadership, and social-emotional learning (SEL). The position plays a key role in cultivating a positive, inclusive, and supportive environment, ensuring all participants feel valued and empowered.
