      Job Description

      Operating under detailed instructions and review, the purpose of this position is to provide the essential technical knowledge and perform the work listed. This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor's competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. The purpose of this position is to work on design and perform 3D layout of moderate scope to support the Design Area Lead or Lead.
      • Prepare 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD) drawings of moderate complexity
      • Review drawings, and vendor equipment documentation of basic to moderate complexity within the discipline and from other disciplines for compliance with project requirements, and actively seek discrepancy resolution
      • Perform bulk material take-off analysis and tabulations
      • Adhere to industry codes and standards as well as department practices and procedures
      • Other duties as assigned

      Basic Job Requirements

      • Accredited two (2) year degree or global equivalent in technical field of study, or; A combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
      • Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
      • Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
      • Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
      • Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
      • Knowledge of commercial availability and cost of materials
      • Practical field experience
      • Intermediate computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, e-mail, spreadsheet and electronic presentation programs

      Other Job Requirements

      • When directed by supervisor, interface with client IT, Electrical and Control Systems departments to obtain design basis requirements for telecommunication
      • As directed, develop telecommunication equipment block diagrams based upon project area classifications, applicable scopes of analog and digital voice and data, imaging applications, low voltage devices for security systems and building controls, and check design documents
      • Develop, evaluate, and comment on telecommunication system schematics and wiring diagrams
      • Continue education of Building Industry Consulting Service International (BICSI) telecommunications distribution design courses
      • Advanced level knowledge for small to medium sized project’s integrated telecommunication systems and physical security systems
      • Advanced knowledge of Telecommunication system representation on drawings and knowledge of 2D Computer Aided Design (CAD)
      • Intermediate knowledge of 3D CAD systems (Hexagon Smart® 3D, etc.) and procedures

      Salary Range

      72,500 to 130,500

      Market Rate

      The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
