      About the role
      An exciting opportunity exists for a Telecommunications Technician, reporting to the Area Manager you will be working as part of a motivated team responsible for the primary installation, repair and maintenance of Telecommunication transmission equipment, cabling and switching equipment inside client premises. This may include SDH, PDH and IP based Telephony. Installation, repair and maintenance of radio and cellular transmission equipment within the NZ telecommunications network. (DMR, Cellular, Paging, Microwave systems, Telemetry and CCTV).

      As the successful candidate, you should have the following:
      • A minimum of 2 years experience in a Telecommunications network
      • Experience in radio technology or interest in telecommunications, electrical, and/or related technologies
      • Working at heights would be preferable
      • Experience in Fibre splicing and structured cabling
      • Physically fit and love working outdoors
      • Strong focus on Health and Safety practices, including First Aid, Working Around Utilities etc
