- Demonstrate working knowledge of telemetry monitoring system.
- Responsible for observation and documentation of patient’s cardiac rhythm: every shift, when an arrhythmia occurs, and on each new patient as they are placed on telemetry. RN to co-sign patient’s documented rhythm.
- Recognizes and notifies RN immediately when life threatening arrhythmia occurs. Promptly responds to all monitor alarms according to department/hospital policy.
- Documents all communication to care givers.
- Required qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association.
- One year of acute care experience preferred Telemetry experience.

The role you’ll contribute:
Continually monitors patients on telemetry by interpreting and recording ECG rhythms and reporting pertinent changes to appropriate personnel. Responsible for accuracy of reports and error reconciliation. Troubleshoots equipment problems and communicates needs to leader. Assumes personal accountability for organizational mission and core values.
