      Internship opportunities available will either be hybrid, in-person (requiring an intern to work from Telemundo Center, Miami, FL 3 days per week) based on the location mentioned, or virtual, depending on business needs.

      Job Description

      The Organization and Development Intern will assist the O&D Senior Manager in various initiatives; including creative support for curriculum development, training materials preparation, program logistics, data analysis, and utilizing PowerPoint, SharePoint, Canva, Teams, and Campaign Monitor. The intern will also collaborate on other HR initiatives with the greater HR team and form part of the Monthly HR meetings.

      The role offers valuable hands-on experience in employee development and fostering a culture of continuous learning within the organization.

      Qualifications

      Basic Requirements:

      • Must be actively enrolled in a degree-granting program at an accredited institution during the length of the program.
      • Current class standing of sophomore or above (30 credits).
      • Must be authorized to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by NBCUniversal.
      • Must be working from within the United States during all hours worked.

      Responsibilities:

      • Support the development, design, and implementation of Telemundo & NBCUIntl LATAM learning and development programs.

      • Performs tasks such as research and data curation that support the creation of training and course curricula.

      • Creates inspiring and original learning materials, tools, and various resources, such as PowerPoint decks, pamphlets, manuals, video testimonials, and social media postings following the company’s branding guidelines.

      • Maintains organization of the documentation within the departmental SharePoint: resources and materials available for each of our programs.

      • Assist the L&OD team in the facilitation and logistics of learning experiences (virtual and in-person) such as; Trainings, team building activities, workshops, panels, and info sessions.

      • Design data collection instruments such as (surveys, focus groups, email communications, and interviews) to gather feedback from the program’s participants.

      • Generates reports showcasing valuable feedback, trends, and comments from the data collected through surveys and other instruments.

      • Collaborates closely with other members of the HR team, including key department stakeholders to identify areas where additional support and training may be required.

      Desired Competencies:

      • Microsoft Suite (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).

      • Presentation and public speaking skills. (Virtual and in-person facilitation).

      • Interest in Human Resources.

      • Preferably with HR experience or an HR degree.

      • Systems knowledge with Canva, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.

      • Demonstrate creativity with an eye for detail and take complete ownership of deliverables.

      • Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

      • Proactive, demonstrates a sense of urgency, teamwork, and adaptability

      • Hybrid: in-office minimum of 3 days a week

      • Students with a class standing of junior or above are preferred.
      • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
      • Strong interest in the media industry.
      • Commitment to building an inclusive work environment.
      • Previous internship experience and on-campus involvement.
      • Strong interest in and demonstrated knowledge of current affairs.

      The internship hourly rate for undergrad students is $17.00 and $25.00 for MBA or master's degree.
