What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Lead recruitment, scheduling, training, engagement, recognition, and tracking for various Society events
- Implement recruitment strategies to re-engage prior volunteers and outreach to new volunteers
- Provide clear communication and support to volunteers before and during events
- Cultivate relationships with key volunteers to ensure high retention and engagement
- Ensure risk management requirements are met for all event volunteers
What is Required (Qualifications):
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in volunteer management or related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Proficiency in using digital communication tools and social media platforms
- Willingness to travel for events across multiple states
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in nonprofit organizations or event planning
- Familiarity with MS and its community
- Previous experience in training and onboarding volunteers
- Knowledge of data tracking and reporting for volunteer activities
