      What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
      - Provide animal husbandry services to research animals in accordance with established standards and procedures
      - Meet the environmental and nutritional needs of various animal species
      - Assist with health maintenance tasks as directed by supervisors and veterinary staff
      - Maintain accurate records and communicate animal health information to appropriate personnel
      - Prioritize and manage tasks effectively in a dynamic work environment

      What is Required (Qualifications):
      - Minimum of 1 year experience working with animals in a laboratory or academic setting, or an associate or bachelor's degree in biology, zoology, animal science, or related fields
      - Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English effectively
      - Proven skills in clear and tactful communication with a diverse audience
      - Basic computer skills for data entry and email communication
      - Valid California driver’s license and availability for weekend/holiday rotations

      - Certification by AALAS at the Assistant Animal Technician level
