What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Collaborate closely with clinical staff and physicians to ensure quality patient care
- Room patients and check vital signs as part of the patient intake process
- Perform data entry into a medical records system to maintain accurate patient information
- Assist doctors and nurses with various medical procedures
- Conduct blood draws, EKGs, and administer vaccines as required
What is Required (Qualifications):
- General knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Basic understanding of anatomy and physiology, including medical terminology
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Previous experience working in a clinical or healthcare setting
- Additional certifications relevant to medical assisting
- Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient care
