What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Work closely with other clinical staff and doctors to ensure efficient patient care
- Room patients and check vital signs as part of the patient intake process
- Perform data entry into a medical records system accurately and efficiently
- Assist doctors and nurses with various medical procedures
- Conduct blood draws, EKGs, and vaccine administration as required
What is Required (Qualifications):
- General knowledge of HIPAA regulations
- Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology, including medical terminology
- Ability to read, write, and follow oral and written instructions in English
- Medical Assistant Certificate/Diploma
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA)
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in a clinical or healthcare setting
- Additional certifications related to medical assisting or patient care
- Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
