What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Provide clerical support to nurses, physicians, and the Department Director in the Emergency Department.
- Efficiently initiate patient care orders in a timely manner.
- Coordinate communication within the department and hospital.
- Maintain necessary office and chart supplies and oversee equipment repair and maintenance.
- Assist in various administrative tasks as needed to support the department.
What is Required (Qualifications):
- 1-3 years of previous relevant experience in a medical or front office setting.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
- Timely and efficient initiation of patient care orders.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications):
- Experience in an emergency department or similar healthcare setting.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Experience in coordinating with various healthcare professionals.
- Additional certifications related to healthcare administration.
