- Creates, analyzes, and extracts data from existing reports regarding student enrollment to identify and provide outreach to students
- Assists with development and maintenance of workshops, manuals, and other resources to support students and faculty
- Contributes to the design and delivery of training sessions for advising, admissions, and/or registrar staff
- Maintains up-to-date knowledge of degree program requirements and employment trends in assigned program(s)
- Provides relevant front-line academic advising and registration assistance; refers students to the appropriate academic departments and/or University student support resources such as tutoring, testing, counseling, financial aid, etc., as needed
- Actively engages in student onboarding and registration initiatives
- Maintains detailed and accurate records of contact with students (Starfish, Banner, etc.)
- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Work location and/or weekly schedule may be somewhat flexible, depending on the needs of the team and assigned student population(s); occasional evening and weekend activities and ability to travel as needed to other campuses/course delivery sites are required
- Bachelor’s degree plus experience in higher education student services, advising, or related customer service field
- Experience working with adult and/or online students
- Facility with Banner or other student information systems (e.g., Colleague)
- Strong project management and organizational abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Ability to quickly grasp programmatic issues and offer creative, practical solutions
- Flexibility and ability to attend to several projects at once in a fast-paced, collaborative yet self-directed environment
- Master’s degree
- Academic advising and/or college-level teaching experience in an online setting; registrar or admissions experience is a plus
- Facility with data management and reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Canvas, Google apps

Reporting to the Senior Assistant Director in the Rowan Global Office of Advising and Student Information Services (OASIS), the Program and Student Services Advisor (PSSA) supports onboarding, advising, registration, and retention initiatives across undergraduate and/or graduate programs. The PSSA provides proactive, student-centered support and guidance for adult learners and actively participates in the recruitment, retention, and graduation efforts of the Division on behalf of his/her assigned population(s). Initial placement will be with the 3+1 programs at Rowan College of Burlington County and/or Rowan College of South Jersey. This is a hybrid position requiring some hours each week on one or more of these campuses (Mt. Laurel, Sewell, and/or Vineland); the remaining hours may be worked on-campus or remotely.
