Together, we will become the world's leading cancer reference laboratory.u00A0Position Summary:u00A0As a Pathology assistant you will work closely with supervising pathologists to perform tissue transfer and large specimen grossing with appropriate tissue sampling and gross description composition. u00A0u00A0Responsibilities:u00A0u2022 u00A0 u00A0Gross pathology prosection and description with submission of appropriate tissue for thorough pathology evaluation
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Assist with preparation of frozen section slides
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Prosect and assist in report generation of rare fetal and adult autopsies
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Assist in appropriate quality control and quality assurance measures
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Assist pathologists in preparing for tumor board or other presentationsu00A0Experience & Required Qualifications:u00A0u2022 u00A0 u00A0Masteru2019s Degree in Pathologist Assistant (PA) from an accredited college or university, graduation from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologistsu2019 Assistant program preferred, Bacheloru2019s Degree from an accredited college or university in one of the chemical, physical, or biological sciencesu00A0
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Pathologist assistant certification under ASCP
u2022 u00A0 u00A0Five years of laboratory experience as pathology assistant u00A0
