      In this role you will be responsible for developing, implementing and leading the sourcing strategy for internal and external equipment as well as subcontractors/site works for NAM Projects. This role is responsible for achieving competitive costs and implementing effective contracts that mitigate risks while ensuring the project schedule is being met.

      Essential Responsibilities:

      In this role, you will:

      · Identify, evaluate, quote and negotiate costs for material, equipment and site works in support of commercial bids for ACS, FACTS, and HVDC projects

      · Work closely with engineering, operations and commercial teams to understand timelines and requirements for supplier identification in tender stage and selection in execution stage

      · Manage master planning for sourcing in conjunction with the overall project planning/scheduling team. Ensure operational alignment across all functions within the project team

      · Coordinate with commodity owners to ensure suppliers are quoted and selected that can meet quality, specifications, timelines and cost parameters of budget and are aligned with global sourcing strategies

      · Negotiate project-specific agreements for external material/equipment, subcontractors and site works

      · Ensure compliance with GE Grid Solutions sourcing policies

      Qualifications/Requirements:

      · Bachelors degree from an accredited university or college

      · Minimum of 5 years of experience in Sourcing in a high voltage electrical construction project environment

      · Minimum of 5 years of experience with contracting and negotiation of equipment, material, and subcontractors

      · Ability and willingness to travel domestic & internationally 20% of the time. Must comply with all relevant company travel and tax policies

      Desired Characteristics:

      · Bachelors degree in business or technical discipline

      · Experience in utility construction sourcing

      · MBA and/or financial experience

      · Experience sourcing high voltage electrical equipment and materials as well as construction services and civil/site works

      · Strong oral and written communication skills

      · Negotiation expertise

      · Strategic thinker / planner

      · Strong quantitative and analytical skills

      · Proven project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and deliver results on time and in budget

      · Demonstrated change agent

      · Able to develop a strategy and drive execution in a matrixed environment

      The salary range for this position is 87,300.00 - 116,400.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate’s experience, their education, and the work location. In addition, this position is eligible for a performance bonus.87,300.00 - 116,400.00 - 145,500.00 USD Annual
