      Each summer URBN Inc. welcomes candidates from across the country to immerse themselves within various teams across our portfolio of brands and gain hands-on learning experience in the area of business which they choose to pursue. For 10 weeks, interns will share in the unique culture & perks found at our Home Office in the historic Philadelphia Navy Yard, while developing the skills to succeed in a fast-paced retail environment.       The URBN 2024 Summer Internship Program will run from 6/3 through 8/9 at our Home Office in Philadelphia, PA.

      Please note, this opportunity is only for current students at Delaware Valley University.

      Overview:

      In collaboration with the Design Manager, the Seasonal Installation Artisan creates floral and container design projects in-store, off-site, and in private residential settings. They uphold terrain’s four promises: to welcome, to inspire, to inform and to appreciate our customer.

      What Will You Be Doing?

      • Exceeding customer expectations by building genuine, long lasting relationships through personalized attention; guides customer choices to reflect their unique personal style

      • Understand the terrain retail concepts and partners with design leadership to create a cohesive environment through compelling plant installations and displays

      • Exhibit an understanding of and interest in home and garden trends in art, style, color, design, and architecture; translates trends and customer needs into brand appropriate designs

      • Take initiative and works productively solo or within a team to achieve design goals; actively participates in daily meetings and shares relevant information regarding plant design projects

      • Build and maintain productive partnerships with members of the store team contributing to a culture of strong communication and teamwork; is open and responsive to feedback

      • Communicate daily with the Design Manager on client consultations, design details, and project updates; manages client design file and ensures

      • Collanorate in the project planning process through sharing of inspiration, idea generation, and sketching; prioritizes projects and monitors progress with timelines while staying within visual budget

      • Understand and applies design principles to execute projects with high level of craft; maintains cleanliness and organization of back of house display areas
      • Aheres to store’s safety standards, inventory accuracy, reduction of product loss, and upholds all company policy and procedures to support the profitability of the store

      • Self-motivated with great time management skills

      • Experience in horticulture and floral design

      • Ability to lift in excess of 50lbs

      • Must be willing and able to work outside in all weather conditions

      • Ability to work flexible hours to meet the needs of the retail design business and off-site design projects
