      Job Summary

      We are looking for a Test Analyst to be part of a Global Markets – Markets Operations team, that will take complete accountability for the execution and end-to-end delivery of Test Plan and Test Cases within registered change programmes. Ownership to design Test packs enabling the programme/projects to implement, guide, manage and maintain a standardized test methodology in ABSA Testing Services to ensure world class delivery and support of the business unit, in line with the goals of the team. Working in a cross-asset class function.

      Job Description

      • Import test cases from other applications in to the test management tool
      • Guide & influence the scoping of test efforts
      • Gather requirements for system from formal- or informal specifications document
      • Coordinate with the test team on all testing aspects and requirements and that adequate testing has been performed
      • Provide progress feedback to the Test Manager as and when required.
      • Validate data quality by comparing internal and external interfaces with testing tools.
      • Enable automation of functional business processes.
      • Exercises responsibility for the successful delivery of the Programme/project to plan, agreed quality and governance standards.

      Education and Experience Required

      • Diploma in Information Sciences or Information Technology or Project Management or
      • equivalent NQF level 5 or higher qualification
      • Min 5 Years Development or Business Analysis experience
      • Min 5 Years’ experience of quality assurance methodologies and tools such as VModel, SCRUM, RUP (Rational Unified Process)
      • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and the Internet
      • Degree in Software Testing or equivalent NQF level 6 or higher qualification
      • Global Markets product knowledge (Fixed Income, FX, Derivatives, Settlements etc)

      Knowledge & Skills:

      • Knowledge of Operational Management Principles and Practices (Solid)
      • Knowledge of Risk Management principles and practices (Solid)
      • Analytical Skills (Solid)
      • MS Office Skills (Solid)
      • QC Skills (Solid)required

      Education

      Bachelor's Degree: Information Technology
