  At this time, SCI is recruiting highly qualified candidates whose background and career goals meet our needs for the following position in Huntsville, AL. Please note that due to Department of Defense contract requirements, U.S. CITIZENSHIP IS REQUIRED.

  Position Title : Test Engineer

  Based in Huntsville, AL, SCI Technology’s Test Engineering Development Group, with the stability and resources of a Fortune-500 company, is seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level Test Engineer candidate to join our team and shape future products. Working with technology partners, we rapidly develop test solutions for a wide range of defense, aerospace, and commercial products.

  The successful candidates could be involved in a wide range of the test development; including designing mechanical test sets and fixtures, designing electrical PWA’s and cables for test set and fixture integration, and developing test software for leading edge airborne and/or subsea systems not yet seen by the public. Depending on the individual’s background and interests, work will involve computer-based design and modeling, rapid fabrication of new designs with both our in-house fabrication capabilities and/or contractor test fixture fabrication facilities.

  Nature of Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Defining and documenting test requirements.
  • Designing and developing functional test set H/W that will interface with LabView or other GUI based S/W and/or writing automated test programs using LabView/TestStand.
  • Effective and clear communication to management on the status of projects.
  • Collaborating in a team environment to develop new test solutions.

  Education/Experience:

  • US Citizenship is required (Due to DoD, ITAR and other regulations)
  • B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (Mechatronics Concentration), Mechanical Engineering (Mechatronics Concentration).
  • Interested in functional test hardware and/or software development.
  • Training in analog and digital circuit design, PCB layout, mechanical design, or LabView and TestStand code development.
  • 0-5 years functional test hardware or software development is a plus.
  • RF Experience a plus.
  • Altium, Cadence, OrCAD, SolidWorks, TurboCAD, AutoCAD or other ECAD/MCAD training/experience a plus.
