Job Title: Automation Test Engineer
Experience Level: 5 years
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled Automation Test Engineer with a minimum of 3 years of experience in automation testing; particularly using Java Selenium; along with knowledge of Jira and Agile methodologies. Candidates with API testing knowledge will be added advantage. The selected candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Test Automation:** Develop; maintain; and execute automated test scripts using Java and Selenium to validate the functionality of web applications.
2. **Test Planning:** Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create test cases; ensuring coverage of all requirements.
3. **Regression Testing:** Conduct regression testing to identify and report defects; as well as to verify bug fixes.
4. **Defect Tracking:** Utilize Jira or a similar issue tracking tool to report and manage defects and track their resolution.
5. **Agile Integration:** Participate in Agile development processes; including daily stand-ups; sprint planning; nd retrospectives.
6. **Collaboration:** Work closely with developers to ensure the highest quality of software.
7. **Test Environment Management:** Maintain test environments to support automated testing activities.
8. **Automation Frameworks:** Suggest to improve and optimize test automation frameworks and methodologies.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Strong experience in automation testing using Java Selenium and Cucumber BDD Framework.
- Proficiency in using Jira for issue tracking and Agile methodologies.
- Solid understanding of software testing principles; methodologies; and best practices.
- Experience with API testing is a valuable asset.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative; fast-paced environment.
- ISTQB or other testing certifications (optional).
