- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test objectives, requirements, and success criteria
- Develop comprehensive test plans and strategies encompassing mechanical, electrical, and software components
- Mechanical, Electrical, and Software Testing:
- Design and conduct mechanical tests to evaluate the performance, durability, and reliability of components and systems
- Validate electrical components, circuits, and systems to ensure proper functionality and adherence to design requirements
- Develop and execute test cases to assess the functionality and performance of embedded software components
- Conduct software integration testing to verify interactions between hardware and software
- Collaborate with test technicians to utilize specialized equipment and instrumentation to execute tests accurately and efficiently
- Design and develop specialized test fixtures to facilitate accurate and repeatable testing, ensuring fixtures adhere to industry standards and best practices
- Assist in the selection and procurement of specialized lab equipment
- Assist in the maintenance, calibration, and troubleshooting of lab equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability
- Data Analysis and Reporting:
- Analyze test data to identify trends, deviations, and potential areas for improvement
- Generate detailed test reports, summarizing findings and recommendations for further development
- Problem Solving:
- Work closely with engineers from various disciplines to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges
- Standards:
- Utilizes relevant test and design standards for testing and evaluation of design architecture
- Continuous Improvement:
- Stays current with emerging technologies and best practices in testing methodologies
- Proficient in mechanical, electrical, and software test and validation techniques
- Strong understanding of lab instrumentation and data acquisition systems
- Experience with test fixture design and fabrication
- Familiarity with vehicle communication protocols such as CAN and use of associated tools
- Experience with data processing and visualization tools such as MATLAB
- Demonstrated problem solving, analytical thinking, and technical writing skills
- Effective collaboration and communication abilities
- Familiarity with automotive or similar test and design standards
- Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Electrical, Computer Engineering or a related field; preferably from an ABET accredited program
- 3 to 7 years of testing and validation experience, preferably in the on-road or off-road vehicle industry

Winnebago Industries is seeking a Test Engineer to join the Advanced Technology Group based in Savage, MN. This role will lead the strategic process design for technology validation to drive continued enhancements and elevate the customer experience. This role will be instrumental in creating new processes and procedures to lead us to the next level.
This position will also be responsible for planning, developing, and executing a wide variety of test plans to validate the feasibility and functionality of components, sub-assemblies, and units under test for the Advanced Technology Group. This role will be critical to ensuring the reliability and functionality of our technology offerings.
