  Who are we?

  Sanlam Group Technology is responsible for the provision of a digitally enabled technology service as a group COE, drive business and transformation and provide group-wide digital and data architecture. We operate the various technology platforms and shared services, ensure Cyber and Information Security resilience, and act as technology governance and risk orchestrator for technology across Sanlam.

  What will you do?

  As a Test Engineer you will provide testing services within the SQA Services competency to the different functional teams.

  What will make you successful in this role?

  • Identify, define and design manual/automated tests
  • Perform:
    • Test scheduling and execution with all test cycles (Local, Feature, Master, UAT, BRT) and mark off results.
    • Test defect reporting and logging.
    • Regression testing.
  • Identify and prepare Test Data.
  • Test reporting based upon coverage and clearance statistics.
  • Identify and report test related errors, issues and risks.
  • Liaise with Product Owners, test analysts, business analysts and developers on errors, issues and risks.
  • Test documentation compilation.

  Qualifications

  • Grade 12
  • ISTQB would be advantageous

  Experience

  • A minimum of 2 - 3 years experience in testing within a solution design division will be a strong recommendation.
  • In financial services is required.
  • Testing the delivery of financial solutions is preferable.
  • Test Automation (BDD’s, UI Atomics)

  Knowledge

  • Knowledge of one or more of the following Sanlam systems will be advantageous: Sentrix, Kofax, Content Manager and Avaya, Vidado, QuicklySign
  • Computer Literacy including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office Products, Matured experience in Excel spreadsheets, Internet and E-mail.
  • Understanding of system architectures such as Client / Server, Services Orientated Architecture, Web based architecture.
  • Knows of, and understand all forms of testing.
  • Understand Agile Software Development
  • SQL database knowledge would be advantageous.
  • Knowledge of Sanlam transactions (Sentrix) will be advantageous.
  • Working knowledge of testing best practices and frameworks.
