  The opportunity

  As a Functional Tester, you will be accountable & responsible to Prepare test strategy, test plan, test scenario, test scripts based on the project requirements. Execute functional and regression test cases. Report the defects in tracking tool and ensure its closure through STLC process. Involve in review meetings and walk through meetings. Candidate should have knowledge on Banking – Retail banking, Mobile Testing, Automation

  Skills and attributes for success

  • Experience in Banking with hands on Functional testing in retail banking, Mobile testing
  • Understanding the entire modules and their functionality by verifying the Functional Specification and Style guide issued by the client
  • Expertise in Mobile App Testing for both iOS and Android platforms
  • API automation experience using Rest API/POSTMAN and other market tools
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for frontend and backend testing using appropriate tools and frameworks.
  • Design and implement comprehensive test strategies for full-stack applications, covering both frontend and backend components
  • Develop and maintain automated test suites for frontend and backend testing using appropriate tools and frameworks
  • Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage
  • Perform API testing to validate the functionality and reliability of backend services
  • Conduct exploratory testing to uncover issues not covered by automated tests
  • Participate in the design and review of user stories, ensuring testability and identifying potential risks
  • Work with the development team to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated testing
  • Mentor and provide guidance to junior QA team members
  • Stay informed about industry best practices, tools, and technologies related to full-stack testing
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to continuously improve testing processes and advocate for a quality-first mindset
  • Perform API testing to validate the functionality and reliability of backend services.
  • Designing & Implementing Test Strategy
  • Providing Functional Test Estimations
  • Able to write and execute the Test Cases for Functional Testing.
  • Able to automate end to end functional business workflows
  • Hands on Mobile testing on Android, IOS devices
  • Accessibility testing on Desktop & Mobile testing
  • Maintaining the Bug Reports and delivery Note details
  • Involved in Peer-Review of the test cases, Sanity Testing, Smoke Testing, Regression Testing, System Testing and User Acceptances Testing
  • Organizing, monitoring defect management process
  • Handling changes and conducting Regression Testing
  • Involved in review meetings and walk through meetings
  • Attend status calls as needed to report on testing progress
  • Review’s data regarding production issues and requests to uncover defects and revises testing strategies as needed.
  • Hands on experience on test management tools like JIRA, ADO, ALM

  
  Academic and Work experience

  • BE/BTech/MCA/M.Sc.
  • 5 -8 years of UAT/Business testing experience in Banking modules with hands on API and Functional automation testing.

  Ideally, you’ll also have

  • Should have excellent communication skills & should be able to articulate concisely & clearly
  • Good experience in API automation, Functional Automation, SQL queries
  • Should be ready to do an individual contributor as well as Team Leader role is what we look for
  • Created QA Strategy and test approach from scratch, Articulates value, ROI to clients. Experience in conducting proof-of-concepts and Tool selection should have played the role of an individual contributor, interfacing with the clients and address their business needs
