    • Serves as a support specialist for the division wide testing program to include SOL testing, Critical Skills Assessments, SAT testing, AP testing among others.

    • Coordinates testing in the local schools, and at day and residential treatment centers and performs vital monitoring and problem solving duties throughout division test administrations.

    • Remains available prior to, during and after the test administration to answer questions and resolve problems that may arise.

    • Oversees the distribution and collection of secure test materials to and from schools.

    • Support individual schools with student registration, session management, and administration of assessments.

    • Schedules and provides professional development for division personnel, and assumes the role of liaison with vendors for on-line and paper testing services.

    • Performs data management functions for on-line testing systems in cooperation with vendors and the staff in the HCS Information Technology Department, coordinating data uploads from division Student Information Systems and performing manual operations as required for account creation and management for end users.

    • Helps determine testing requirements for individual students and groups of students based on Federal and State regulations.

    • Maintain records for students that complete substitute tests approved for verified credit

    • Reviews state instructions to prepare specific local testing instructions, procedures, guidelines, training materials and action documents, and follows up on work in progress to ensure timely response or action.

    • Receives and schedules annual testing calendar of all state mandated standardized tests and advanced placement (AP) tests and other test related events and details.

    • Attends State mandated testing meetings and professional development as assigned.

    • Processes requisitions, invoices and purchase order change orders in the financial system. This includes ensuring the proper procurement process is followed when gathering documents, enough funds are available and the appropriate account is charged.

    • Performs other related work as required, or assigned.

    • Post-secondary education preferred including coursework in business administration, office management or a related field; High School diploma required.

    • Considerable work experience in an education or education-related setting is preferred.

    • Thorough knowledge of school system operations, procedures and testing protocols or the ability to learn new procedures and tasks quickly.

    • Knowledge of web applications such as PearsonAccessNext, Master Connect, PowerSchool, MUNIS

    • Great organizational, human relations and communication skills.

    • Ability to work with fellow employees, school-based staff and the public, tactfully and courteously and to work as a member of a team in a high-demand, fast-paced environment.

    • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

    • Ability to facilitate professional development sessions and create training materials.

    • Ability to function comfortably using a wide variety of software and on-line tools and reporting systems.

    • Ability to maintain confidential records and prepare relatively complex reports from such records.
