Job Description

- To be responsible for ensuring that bus services are supervised and controlled using the necessary method in an appropriate manner to meet the prevailing circumstances.
- To ensure the most efficient and cost-effective operation of the bus services
- To ensure the highest standards of operational discipline and customer service are maintained by drivers.
- Ensure that all staff comply with the requirement of all Stagecoach policies.
- To ensure that incidents and accidents are managed and reported and provide guidance and assistance at the scene.
- To ensure that the company’s routes are operating to meet and where possible exceed standards specified in the franchise agreement.
- To act as the company’s representative to the public and statutory authorities.
- To accurately compile lost mileage records required by the company.
- To provide accurate reporting of daily incidents and updates.
Salary
40 hours per week on a rotating shift basis
£37,900 per annumApplications are invited for the post of TfGM OCC Controllers, based in Manchester and with responsible for overseeing the bus network within the Manchester Area
With over 2000 colleagues spread across six sites; Stagecoach Manchester is one of the country’s biggest bus operators. We are recruiting a number of TfGM OCC Controllers to join the team, to help us as we expand our business due to the successful award of Greater Manchester Franchising contracts based in Middleton, Oldham, and Queens Road depots.
This a permanent position that will work under the Head of Operations.
You will be monitoring and adjusting vehicles across to network to ensure services meet demand.
The principal duties and responsibilities are: -
We are looking for someone who is committed to public transport, adaptable to new systems, flexible in their approach to work and be able to work accurately and under pressure. This role covers 24 hours per day, seven days a week, working a shift pattern including earlies, middles and lates.
