- Represent Associated Students, CSU, Chico, and The Well, in a professional manner and act as wellness center ambassador with extensive knowledge of the programs, services, and facility
- Dispense information to The Well’s patrons in person and on the phone regarding the wellness centers programs, services, workshops, and special events
- Maintain positive relationships with members, guest, co-workers, and professional staff
- Enforce and communicate The Well’s policies and procedures
- Open and close The Well according to standard operating procedures
- Monitor access and verify membership eligibility, registrations, and reservations
- Conduct informative tours of The Well to potential patrons and guest
- Conducts financial transactions related to programs, services, workshops, and special events
- Troubleshoot problems with access system, scanners, and specialized software programs
- Handle guests’ varied questions, requests, and concerns
- Maintain a clean, safe, fully stocked, and well-organized work area
- Facilitates changing of linens, sanitizing furniture, and light cleaning
- Distribute and launder towels, bedding, etc.
- Submit injury, incident, and maintenance reports
- Maintain lost and found items and coordinates drop-off to campus police
- Perform all duties without constant direct supervision and remain at assigned area for extended periods of time.
- Attend all Well meetings and trainings
- Maintain confidentiality related to participant information per the wellness center policy
- Assist in other areas of The Well and complete specific duties as requested or assigned
- Stand for extended periods; manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination; corrected hearing and vision to normal range; verbal and written communication; use of office equipment including computer, iPad, telephones, copier; The employee must frequently move 10 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds. Associated Students is now hiring for the position of The Well Student Reception Staff. This is a part-time, non-benefited student position that will work no more than 20 hours per week while school is in session. The pay rate is $16.50 per hour. The schedule for this position is based upon department needs and is subject to change at any time. To be eligible for student employment, you must be enrolled at CSU, Chico and maintain at least 6 units (undergraduate student) or 4 units (graduate student) throughout the course of employment.

Summary
Under the direct supervision of T he Well Coordinator , this position assists with guest services for The Well including, but not limited to, access, providing information about program s, workshops, and events, sales, and customer service . Considerable on-the-job training provided at hire.

Typical Working Conditions
Work is performed in The Well at Bell Memorial Union and various campus locations ; continuous contact with staff, campus community and public; possible contact with animals. Must be flexible, adaptable, and readily able to adjust to changes in work environment.
