      How you make a difference

      Make a Meaningful Impact as a Therapeutic Safety Technician (TST)!

      Join an interdisciplinary clinical team where you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering compassionate care to individuals served. As a Therapeutic Safety Technician, you’ll support clinical and medical staff in providing tailored treatment, ensuring a safe and supportive environment. Your dedication to a person-centered, trauma-informed, and recovery-focused approach will empower individuals to thrive, both within the facility and during community visits.       Key Responsibilities

      • Patient Safety and EngagementPerforms a wide range of patient safety assignments throughout the facility and actively engages with individuals served to monitor their environment and well-being.

      • Collaborates on Therapeutic ReviewsAttends and contributes to therapeutic reviews by providing input into the goals and objectives developed with the individual served.

      • Crisis Intervention and Safety PlanningWorks with the treatment team to create and implement individual crisis intervention plans and safety plans to ensure the well-being of individuals served.

      • De-escalation and RedirectionObserves individuals served and provides de-escalation and redirection as needed, working in a trauma-informed model where patients are verbally guided and informed of changes.

      • Environmental Monitoring and Emergency ResponseMonitors and tracks environmental concerns through equipment, systems, and physical inspections, and provides emergency responses to address safety issues, including calming disruptive or violent behaviors.

      Qualifications & Requirements

      Education:

      • Required: High school diploma or equivalent.

      Experience:

      • Preferred: Prior work experience with individuals served in a healthcare or mental health treatment facility setting, with a focus on patient safety.

      Licenses/Certifications:

      • Required: Must meet minimum age requirements as defined by the State certification/licensing authority.
